MKB:R is out! Big updates! (quick addition 8:26pm)

MKB:R 1 is done!  And it's huge!  Even with the contest removed, the finished story is a little over 29 pages in length, clocking in at a staggering 16600+ words!  For comaprison's sake, The Transmogrifier's 30 pages featured a 14,600 wordcount, and Project ADAM's 27 pages had 12,000+ words on them.  Why the big fluctuation in wordcount/pages?  Because frankly MKB:R has far less dialogue (dialogue eats up a lot of space) so it's filled to the brim with Tara slowly growing into the goddess you knew in the original series!

If you're a $4+ Patron whose monthly limit is high enough, you should find a link to MKB:R1 in your patreon inbox waiting for you!  If you fall under this category, and did not receive the story, let me know ASAP so I can resolve the issue!

With that said, I will be putting out new scrapbooks soon, and will be sending out pitches for the next Patreon story to the $10+ pledgers to vote on.

More messing with the reward tiers!

I'm still dissatisfied with the reward tiers and will be fixing them up a bit.  Overall these changes should benefit virtually everybody.  

- Removing early access.  Sorry, but there were literally zero people who signed up for EA.  I totally understand that reading an unfinished story is unappealing.  If you are someone who was counting on receiving early access during November, you are still eligible for that month - just contact me in advance!
- Making Bios cheaper once again - It's a cool reward that provides content for the main DA page.  I would like to encourage this reward being utilized..!
- Removing the writing editing reward.  It was just a random idea I had and nobody wanted it - totally understandable.  No need to keep it there.
- Adding a $6 tier:  Anyone who pledges $6 or higher will be eligible to receive the stories in additional formats.  I will add plain txt, odt (essentially word document for any processor), and epub for everyone who qualifies.  If you want a different format added to this list, let me know!  This carries over to all of the higher tiers as well, so if for example, you are a $8 pledger, you will receive this benefit too.
- Adding BONUSES to the $10+ tier - anyone who pledges $10+ per story will receive all additional versions of the story for free.  For example, when I put an EX version of a story on SmashWords for sale, if you are a $10+ pledger, I will automatically send you that enhanced version for free.  This reward is retroactive!  If you pledged $10+ for a prior story, I will make the best effort I can to get you the added content.  (Patreon's record keeping system is kind of spotty, so if I miss someone, they can obviously contact me whenever for the reward)


So as far as I can tell, this is positives for everyone, unless you wanted to have one of the removed rewards - in which case I apologize.


Latest update for SmashWords releases:

After some deliberation, I've decided on how I will handle smashwords releases.

- Every story will be put up on SmashWords roughly 4-5 months after its Patreon debut.  I will put up both an unchanged version (reformatted slightly, but effectively containing the same content) and if I saw enough room to add stuff, an EX version as well.  The unchanged versions will be $6, and the EX will run between 7-10 depending on how much added content there is.  Anyone who was a successfully processed Patron during that story's release, will receive a coupon for each version of the story.  If you were/are a $10+ pledger, you will receive the extra content (if there is any) for free regardless.  As explained before, the reason for the higher price tag is to reward those who support me on Patreon.

- If a story is coming out on Patreon that is a direct sequel, I will put the earlier entry on SmashWords ahead of time, even if this breaks the 4-5 month clause.  The reason for this is, if for example, Tales From a Brawnafied World Vol 2 was chosen to be the first Patreon story in November, there would be no way for people to read the prequel if they weren't pledged at that time.  In the event this happens, I will throw the story onto SmashWords for people to purchase so they can get up to speed.



On Fanfiction Patreon Releases:

So, after receiving clarification with the Patreon staff, it's kosher to release fan-works on there.  However, it's obviously not fine to release that sort of thing on Smashwords, unless it's different enough to classify as fair use.  Anyway, in the event that I do Patreon fanfiction story, I will release it for free on DA after the ~5 month period.  That means the patrons get totally exclusive access to it for that time, and everyone gets to enjoy them eventually.
